Summary
This workshop will enable associates to better understand what Lean manufacturing means to them personally, as well as to the company. Participants learn to analyze the changes occurring in their work unit. Participants examine the change options and learn to find ways to adapt to change and make improvements. This program helps develop associates who can adapt to changing priorities and contribute effectively to work teams and organizations that are making continuous improvements. Participants learn how to take charge of their piece of the Lean initiative, learn of the benefits and challenges to the change, identify how they will adapt to new work processes and craft a personal course of action.
Course Outcomes
As a result of participating in this program, associates will:
- Have a better understanding of what Lean initiatives are and are not;
- Learn how the specific Lean initiative will affect and benefit them;
- Learn about change and how the change process works and how it affects people;
- Know how to guide themselves and others through a Lean implementation; and
- Be prepared to implement a plan to make improvements and change where needed.
