Accelerated Development Through Mentoring

Why should you consider this program?

Because some of the most critical high-level skills your employees need cannot be learned in seminars, but only through guided, ongoing support and mentoring on the job. However, for mentoring programs to work, your mentors and mentees need specific process skills in order to play their roles effectively and to draw maximum value from your program.

Do you want your employees to develop judgment, decisiveness, interpersonal skills and the emotional foundations of leadership.  For these higher-order skills, you may want to help your younger, newer employees learn from the best source available;  the experience of your key senior staff members.  We can help you accelerate their development on the job by working with you to set up an in-house mentoring program.

An important part of that overall mentoring program is our two-day workshop entitled Accelerated Development Through Mentoring.  This highly interactive program focuses on the specific process skills that will enable your mentor and mentee-designates to:

get to know and trust each other;

understand each other’s dominant operating style and preferred style of mentoring;

learn the action steps in a Mentoring Process Model;

develop actionable mentee development goals;

match mentee needs with mentor expertise; and

address one another’s issues and concerns about the relationship.

It is an interaction-based program which focuses tightly on the skills mentors and mentees need in order for them to draw maximum value from their working relationship.
