This
two-and-a-half-day program is designed to improve sales team performance by getting teams
to look at the team practices they employ and to build important team skills in response
to the improvement opportunities that each team identifies. The program is conducted in
five separate sessions each 4 hours in length to minimize time away form the job and to
maximize the opportunity for participants to work on actual team issues and to apply what
they learn on the job. The program enables team leaders and team members to experience
each of the four stages of team development and, in the process, develop their own
abilities to diagnose and respond to team problems-and to ensure that every team member is
an active participant. Participants learn to clarify their team's purpose, develop team
norms, build consensus, and help their teams perform synergistically. The program includes
experiential learning teams, case studies, critical incident analysis, and insight into
the dynamics of successful teams. Our Team
Effectiveness Survey measures the effectiveness of a team in each of the stages of
team development. The survey is fully integrated with each of the program modules so that
participants are given the opportunity to see the need to change. This diagnostic
instrument provides team members and team leaders important feedback on the critical
success factors of team performance. The program provides the skill development necessary
to improve individual and team effectiveness.
