State of Idaho Personnel Commission

Scope of Work:

The State of Idaho is experiencing rapid growth and coping with changes to federal and state programs and policies. Middle managers are concerned about the rate of change and asked for assistance in "managing change rather than having change manage us." Sterling Institute was selected to provide assistance, through education and management development, for the State of Idaho. Internal trainers have been certified to conduct Sterling Institute's Managing Change program.

Accomplishments:

The Personnel Commission is very satisfied with the feedback and reaction from the program participants. They have cited, in particular, the feedback and reaction from the section of the program in which the participant is able to identify their particular practices within their work units which enable or inhibit successful characteristics of change. The Personnel Commission expanded its role from training provider to organizational development consultant.
