| Program Description |
This program prepares
employees to take the baton of empowerment. Through the use of application exercises and
situation response video featuring a state department case study, participants assess the
satisfaction they gain from their work and their effectiveness in achieving the results
expected of them. They learn to analyze policy/procedure problems in the workplace, their
impact on performance, benefits resulting from their resolution, and to develop solutions.
This can be a companion program to Building Commitment when used for organizational
development. |
| Upon completion of this course
the participant will be able to |
- Analyze the situational factors that increase or inhibit his/her
willingness and ability to take initiative that could lead to improved performance and
greater job satisfaction
- Identify his/her own initiative style and how to adapt styles to best
fit each situation
- Understand how beliefs can set them on cause-effect paths that lead
to powerlessness or to empowerment
