Expanding The Value Of Diagnostic Instruments

Gaining Senior Management Support

By surveying your entire target population, you are in position of delivering an unbiased, organization-wide message to your senior executives. This aggregate data provides the evidence operating team members need to take action. We have found that senior executives will respond to data-driven and customer-driven information more readily than anecdotal interviews and recommendations based on the perceptions or beliefs of a few. This “top-down” approach 1) creates a top-level awareness of the need for change; 2) builds consensus on change priorities; 3) helps executives assume responsibility for driving improvement efforts down through their organizations; and 4) assures support for the development initiatives needed to improve critical management, leadership and/or team competencies. Focused feedback provides the executive team with the information it needs to lead organizational change, communicate consistent performance expectations throughout the organization and create a culture that values on-going performance feedback and employee development.
